On Lake Norman the weather is typically sunny and beautiful. Expect a short shower on hot summer days. Overcast days clear off quickly and provide a great day for boating. Passing afternoon thunderstorms are common and typically do not last longer than 30 minutes. Please seek shelter, wait for them to pass and then continue on your way. We operate rentals RAIN OR SHINE. During the summer months rental boats are in high demand, therefore if you choose not to use your reservation due to forecasted weather your security deposit will be rendered. If hazerdous conditions are PRESENT during the time of your rental and prevent us from sending you out on a boat, we will gladly offer you a raincheck or refund. Hazardous weather conditions are considered constant thunderstorms, heavy rain, or high wind conditions. Our knowledgable staff will assess conditions and let you know if we ae not sending boats out due to weather conditions. We do not waive our cancellation policy and related fees for forcasted inclement weather. We highly recommend waiting until the morning of your rental to contact us if you are concerned about weather conditions.
